PyCon Nigeria Conference 2018 was held at Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Conference hall, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos. Kafayat Adeoye and Tomi Awosika of Eko-Konnect gave a presentation and demonstration “Using Python With Robots and Raspberry Pi”

The presentation centred on using Python with Physical Computing. Two Demonstrations 1) a Raspberry Pi based surveillance system using a Finch Robot as an Intruder and a Picam with sensors as the detecting components and 2) a home automation system using a smart speaker to switch LED’s on and off provided examples of the concepts.

The presentation showcased new and emerging technologies and how Eko-Konnect utilises them for its Campus Technology Internship Programme and how these technologies can impact the wider Research and Education Network.
